17 MAY 2010, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Philippine Ambassador to the United States Willy C. Gaa, together with Filipino designer Cora Manimbo and Madame Linda Gaa, unfurls a handmade Philippine fabric to signal the opening of Habi ng Lahi: an Exhibit of Philippine Fabric and Fashion by Manimbo. Known for the striking colors of her works and her attention to detail, Manimbo has created a name for herself in promoting Philippine fabrics around the world. The week-long exhibit featured intricate embroidery, beadwork and stitching on fabrics from different parts of the Philippines. END.
